Bio:
J. E. (Jim) Koop graduated from Civil Engineering Technology in 1982 from Red River College in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  He is a registered Engineering Technologist in Manitoba as well as a member of IEEE, Power Engineering Society.  Mr. Koop has over 25 years experience in Transmission Line Design at Manitoba Hydro and was responsible for major transmission line projects from conceptual design planning through to construction. His interest in LiDAR technology began in 1998 when he developed and coordinated a program to verify existing line ratings through the use of LiDAR technology.  The program’s success led to the formation of a business relationship with LiDAR Services International (LSI) of Calgary and the creation of W.I.R.E. Services.  Mr. Koop is currently the Managing Director of W.I.R.E. Services / Manitoba Hydro International.

Bio:
L. J. (Luke) Chaput graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.  He is a registered Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Manitoba (APEGM).  His employment experience includes PowerLine Journeyman’s certification (1993) as well as his engineering degree (2005). Mr. Chaput has over 20 years experience in the design, construction and management of transmission line projects. He became interested in the application of LiDAR as a  Transmission Line design aid in 2004 and has been involved with the development of this technology ever since.  Mr. Chaput is currently the Manager of Business Development for W.I.R.E. Services / Manitoba Hydro International.

Bio: 
J.J. (Jason) Wowryk graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Manitoba (APEGM) and the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists, and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA). Mr. Wowryk’s employment experience includes experience in Transmission Line Design and Maintenance, and hydraulic modelling of river systems. He became interested in the application of LiDAR data in 2004 while performing hydraulic modelling for future hydroelectric generating stations. Mr. Wowryk has been on the Project Engineering team since 2006 and is currently the Manager of Project Engineering for W.I.R.E. Services / Manitoba Hydro International.
